The executive board of the O.E.C. has decided to have Mark Mathewson act as interim President until elections in the spring of 2011.

Mark was currently the Member at large for the executive. He comes from local 848, Shell, Sarnia.  He is the President of his local as well as the President of the Shell Workers Council of Canada.

Mark will continue on where Scott left off by working with the Primary Forestry Council to put on a shared, or joint conference this spring. Cheryl Morrow will fill in as Member at Large, and the executive will carry on as normal until elections at the 2011 conference.

Both Council’s executive believe there will be great value for their memberships by having a joint conference. Not only will the memberships of the two Council’s benefit by having another opportunity to network with each other, but they will also potentially gain the benefits of improved speakers and educationals that shared revenues will be able to deliver.
